The Story
This piece began with a memory of flying over the coastline and catching, just for a moment, a glimpse of open water no one else seemed to notice — tucked behind cliffs, untouched by footprints. That feeling of stumbling on somewhere secret is what shaped this piece. Layers of resin were poured and moved by hand to mimic the push and pull of real tide, while textured stone and moss were built up along the edges to root the water in something tactile and real. The aerial perspective was intentional — it turns the ocean into something almost abstract, asking the viewer to look twice before recognizing the waves, the foam, the sand. The Hidden Cove isn't a place that exists on any map. It's the quiet corner of coastline everyone hopes to find for themselves.
